RECTORY TEGAN By Ystraddewi Tywysog by Derwen Rosina's Last Tegan is everything I wanted to breed in a cob. She won championships in hand before I sold her and her full sister (very regretfully). However they both went to a fabulous owner in Debbie Murray, Essendon Stud, where they were broken to ride. Teg's full sister, Tywysoges was successful in WHP. After breeding two foals for Debbie, Myron and Madonna, Tegan went on to have a very successful career under saddle, winning many Championships and qualifying for most of the major ridden competitions at PUK etc. This culminated in 5th place in a large ridden mare class at the Royal Welsh in 2004. In October 2004 Debbie sold Teg at the Cob sales as she was giving up, I was given first refusal on her but decided she would be wasted with me as I was still working at the time and not in a position to start breeding again. She was sold to Tracy Lewis of Cwmmawr stud where this year she had a lovely filly foal by Tracy's stallion, Brynithon The Exterminator. Tracy has decided to cut down, and so Tegan has 'come home' to be with her daughter and hopefully breed me some more lovely foals. I couldn't risk losing touch with her and so she will stay here for the rest of her life. Attended 3 medal shows in 2007, winning 2 x 1st and 2 x 2nd including Only shown at two medal shows in 2009 as a broodmare with her foal, Jet. 2nd at Tregaron show and 3rd at Lampeter where she was complimented by the judge on being in such fantastic condition for an 18yr old mare! Produced huge black colt to Derwen Sea Adventure 2011 (See Foals page)

ESSENDON MADONNA By Essendon Thomas by Broughton True Flyer I lost my old mare, Chance, in 2002 and went to see Teg's daughter at Debbie's. One look at her huge liquid eyes and that was it! I had also lost that bloodline in selling Teg and Tywysoges as I no longer had the mare and stallion. Maddie came to me as a yearling in 2002 and was lightly shown that year and she was never out of the top three, including a second in an Open class against adult Sec D's. As well as her lines to Pentre Eiddwen Comet through Nebo Black Magic, she also has several lines to him through Tyhen Comet. Produced Black colt to Abercippyn Jake 2011 (See Foals Page) |

FORYD SUPER MODEL By Esceifiog Twm Sion Cati by Esceifiog Ifor x Foryd Welsh Model by Derwen Desert Express Iman is only 2yrs old but she is already a very substantial girl standing a good 14.2hh and expected to make at least 15hh. She has tons of bone, wonderful natural movement and loads of presence and that 'look at me' factor essential for the show ring. She has a wealth of wonderful Derwen breeding including Rosina's Last, Railway Express and Desert Express. All being well she will be out at the big shows in 2010, including Lampeter, Glanusk and RW. 7th place, RWAS 2010 3yr old filly class Iman is just 'chilling out' in the field this year. |

RECTORY MOON MYSTIQUE By Rhystyd Welsh King by Brenin Gwalia Mitzi was the first foal I bred out of a home bred mare. She has had 4 foals, all colts by Tywysog and Geraint, but the elusive filly was not to be to carry on her lovely old bloodlines, unfortunately. Rising 25yrs she is now retired and the 'leader of the pack!' |
